BrushCapades is a Seattle-based online creative studio that hosts virtual painting classes for corporate groups ranging from 10 to 250 people. Founded in 2014, owner and instructor Anjl Rodee is a lifelong artist and entertainer who uses her passion for art to connect remote teams through humor, vulnerability, and creative expression. We began designing and establishing a brand identity that embodied Anjl's fun, vibrant energy while remaining mature, professional, and polished. The process included:

  • Conceptualizing three distinct logo options for the client to choose from.

  • Creating a mood board based on what we knew about the client's desired look and feel.

  • Organizing a final logo set (including primary, secondary, icon, and wordmark logos in all formats).

  • Selecting a distinct font family to coordinate with the client’s branding.

  • Choosing a color palette for the website and other marketing materials.

2. New Website

Our team designed and built BrushCapades' website from the ground up. Anjl's desire for a streamlined design and build process helped inspire the website’s overall look and feel. By working closely with the client, we created something to help BrushCapades stand out from competitors. Other services included:

  • Designing the website layout

  • Copywriting based on the client’s brand voice

  • Building the custom website in Squarespace

  • Reviewing with the client in real-time via Zoom

  • Optimizing the site for basic SEO tactics

3. Social Media

Our strategy for BrushCapades' social presence was to represent their work with high-quality images and succinct, playful copy. Consistency was key to creating a cohesive online presence that turned viewers into customers. The process included:

  • Monthly check-in calls to discuss strategy and projects

  • Batching content to fill the 9 spots on the grid

  • Custom copywriting in a distinct brand voice

  • Client approval of every image and caption before posting

4. Blogs & Email Campaigns
